PROJECT OVERVIEW

PROPONENT AND PROPOSED SITE

The proponent is proposing a residential development on Block 1 Section 51 Lawson.

The project aims to create a built to rent development that offers approximately 500 units, supported by uses on the ground floor.

Located in the newly designated Lawson South Concept Plan, the site at the corner of Tenterfield Avenue and
Cambaroora Street has been identified as suitable for a Build-To Rent project in response to the lack of good
quality housing options in the area.

PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT

This proposed build to rent project aims to deliver approximately 500 build to rent apartments of exceptional standard with a range of apartment types, sizes and price points, including 10 affordable dwellings. To ensure the liveability of the project, a significant amount of amenity is provided for the residents for active and passive recreation with a focus on wellness and open space.

Centred around a huge courtyard with curves of the building form envelop a quiet sanctuary within the heart of the site that can be enjoyed by all residents where it is from their balcony or via the extensive garden rooftop. The building design will take its cues from the local environment, using earthly tones and textured materials.

SUSTAINABILITY AND
COMMUNITY USES

A focus on green travel options to provide sustainable living include basement car parking provision with electric vehicle charging,  a car share fleet. A bicycle hub for all residents promotes cycling connection to the surrounding cycle trail along Lake Ginninderra and into the Belconnen Town Centre.

To service the local community, a publicly accessible childcare centre is proposed on site, as well as a medical centre to supplement the healthcare provision of nearby hospitals.
